After 2 weeks and about 1000km since fitting the new GIII, here's my take on them. Just a brief feed-back and largely based on my limited experience & comparing only with what I've used before ie. ST115, RE711, F1 GSD3 etc. Rolling resistance : Very little, better than ST115 Dry grip : Fantastic ! Love going into fast corners :D although there is more side wall flex than the ST115. Also doesn't feel as "sticky" as the ST115, but still heaps of grip & similiar to RE711. Wet grip : Handles normal rainy days very well - cuts thru normal wet roads easily & retains excellent grip (better than RE711). But with heavy downfall & large puddles, the GIII easily aquaplanes and I had to almost fight with the steering wheel .... scary !! :o Much poorer than ST115 in the wet and needless to say, the GSD3. Noise / comfort : Darn quiet !! Heaps more silent than the RE711 and a little better than the ST115 & GSD3. Also nice & soft over bumps, probably due to the softer side walls. Overall, a very nice tire indeed. Only need to be cautious & not go too fast in the wet. Just my 2 cents .... :)
