Brake pads and rotors for 328i..

Hi guys, hope all is well. Anyway, the brakes on my 328i is wearing out soon and like to hear some advice as to what do you guys use ie original/ oem and any differences felt? Thank you. Regards

Ate disc with either Jurid or texstar will do just fine.

Brand: ATE original used for 2 weeks coz the car is sold.
hard to get and better than the bavaria auto selling brand. you can ask around?

Rotors: TRW
Pads: can't remember
Price: very affordable. Check out the maintenance thread.

Trw Brand is good... Brake Rotor is RM120/pc and Brake pad is RM120.... Brand new...

May i ask where is TRW made from ? And wow...the price is attractive! I was quoted front rear, pads, rotors, sensors, RM 1.4k. (original, not from AB workshop)

TRW is made in Germany.... Come with certification.....

There is a difference between OEM and Original BMW pads.

It is mainly the temperature rating, ori BMW can withstand higher temp.

All depend on individual driving habit and most impt is how deep is the pocket....

Thanks Bundy. I understand there is difference btw oem and original. My doubt is as always, can an unauthorised workshop gets orginal parts (same part as AB) ? It seems they do but I am just sceptical I guess.

Unauthorised workshops still can get ori or even oem parts.

You can always buy it from AB itself if you have any doubts.

For me, I buy from a shop that I have been patronising for more than 10 years. There are different "grades" of oem pads out there, now I heard some are China made ones.
