My heartiest congratulations to our new club President, V President, Sect, Treasurer and the CMs. May the club move to greater heights and will mark another milestone in the pursuit of becoming a relevant and a dynamic motoring community in Malaysia. I wish to take the opportunity to raise a point or two for the new management to look into or to focus on in order for the Club to prosper and expand. Firstly, the club official memberships. If one were to take a look at the stats, we have about 20k odd registered forumers (and continuing) and 2k plus active ones but a mere 151 OMs. As we are an official BMW club in the country, it is my opinion that we should make ourselves present and become relevant. Or if I may use a stronger wording - a force to be reckon with in respect of a motoring club. Over the last few years, BMW cars has surpassed remarkable number of ownerships and many could testify to this fact. We could capitalise this and every new owner should be a club member by default. As to how and what kind of benefits for the OMs I think this can be deliberated if we can put our minds to it. Secondly, making the Club well-known (point is indirectly linked to the first suggestion above). I wish to see our club logo is on the signboard of some "approved" workshops, a dedicated page in a car magazine for the club focussing on our cars, drives, repairs and so on. Once again, congratulations to the new management team and I hope we will paint the town blue (and white) in the very new future....
