Hi there,

Just bought F25 X3, with petrol engine in June this year and so far my ride is excellent, no problem. Hopefully it will serve me well for years to come.

I love the high driving position plus the roomy interior. Fuel is acceptable as it can go up to 500km if totally driving in town condition and more km will be gained if driving in highway.

The power is acceptable, have no issues with overtaking even with full load.

As far as I know, nope. Mine come with 17" alloy wheel which look small with X3. 18" will do more justice to the car. I was qouted RM17k for a set of 18" alloy wheel and new run flat tyres. That's too much. Can't justify the amount as my current tyre setup still new

I also interested to increase the power to my exsiting 2.0i X3. Current power is ok if I drive alone but with full load, a little extra power with give extra joy to driving experience

Could not find any good power upgrade so far i.e tuning etc. anybody has any info?

Your car must be a CBU. For CKD, the wheels are 18".

Actually, to get cheap wheels and tyres, you have to search in mudah website. Sometimes, some new car owners upgrade their wheels immediately after collections. Sellers accept trade-in and advertise in mudah.

It seems that they are not mass producing X3 locally. For the color I want, I have to wait until next year.

Yup, mine is CBU. Will definitely upgrade to at least 18" once my current tyre worn out.

Never drive a X5 but in terms of size, current X3 is more or less the same size of previous generation X5. Current X5 is definitely bigger but I do not know which one drives better. I have a CBU F25 X3 2.0i ( petrol ). The difference between CBU & CKD as follows ( others can add if I miss something ) :

1) CBU comes with Dynamic Damper Control where when you select Sport or sport+ mode, the suspension will stiffen up on top of throttle response, gear changes and steering response ( which is available in CKD ). For CKD the suspension is set standard.

2) CBU comes with 17" rim with 60 series RFT Pirelli but CKD comes with a nice set of 18" with 50 series RFT

Because of reason no 1, I opted for CBU but I admit a 18" or 19" will do justice to the large wheel arch of X3.

No problem,plenty of independent specialist for Bimers, especially in the Klang Valley. I don't think you'll have a problem in most West cost areas.

Hi All,

Just got a call from my SA. Apparently they have brought in the face-lifted X3 and the new X4 for test drives at Sepang Circuit at the end of this month. Looks like the launching will be in Sept. Cant wait to see these SAV in the metal. Hope the Malaysian specs would include the rear view camera as well as i hate reversing only with the rear sensors .

thanks for the compliment bro.
Not much discount. just free Lumar tinting. Bought it at Quills. Very reliable and helpful SA. Also managed to get my desired number plate. Wish they offered the Xdrive28i but only one Petrol engine option here.
Booked it since it was launched. Frankly my first SUV. Since i got it, i have been driving around KL/Selangor like "a baby with new toy". It was quite an experience since it's an elevated driving compared to 328i. Timely arrival with the wet season coming and flash flood in KL when it pours. Now can keep my 328i M sport for a while. Requested to get the reverse camera installed but SA told me have to wait for the official price. SA told me the X3 request may take time since more manpower allocated for Sedans.

How was the real FC for X3 u guys get?... in paper, they stated 7.5... but i want to know real number.
maybe u guys can reply with this format:

Driving Mode: Sport/Comfort/EcoPro
Driving Condition: Highway/City

On your enquiries, been driving COMFORT all this time. Its too early to tell as i just clocked 2500 km. SA told me to take it easy for the first 1000 km and maintain below 120 km/h. However, based on on-board information, FC ~9.9 L/100km gradually declining with every driving time. Started to feel the car has loosened up a bit after the first 1200 km.
In fact, just came back from Air Papan, Mersing yesterday and it was raining all the way from Bandar Muadzam Shah to KL. took the Kuala Pilah-Seremban-Lekas-Nilai-EBOR route.Really tested the strength of this SAV which is what i was looking for. Will give update once i clocked 5000 km.

so we still need to "masak" our engine for the first 1000km?
what u mean u "test the strength" of your car? u drive kaw2 above 120km/h?

so the 7.5l/100km will only be confirmed after 5000km?

sorry too many questions as i'm totally noob in this area. lol.

my F25 just clocked 1200km after 2 week of driving (2nd day already drove to Ipoh for a short vacay...hehehe)
but the current FC ~12L/100km... (and it seem like so hard to declining to lower number...)...
i wonder when i can achieve the 7.5L/100km FC as per advertise...
