I do not like this tagline but BMW have been using a similar tagline in German called "Freude am Fahren" which means "Joy of Driving" so i guess BMW was perhaps trying to unify their motto, even though it sounds bad in English. more piston = less load on each piston (simplified). but this also equals to more weight and slower acceleration. you have cars like the corvette, camaro, mustang etc with big V8 engines but then they lose out to 4 cylinder cars such as a renault megane 250 or subaru impreza. physics is much more than just the engine size itself one must also factor in grip, braking, g-forces, aerodynamics as a whole. And yes, all organizations are about profit. nobody will work or create something if they are not going to earn money or lose money out of it. you should understand this capitalist logic even better, being in a bmw forum where most of us have earn significant profits.</p></blockquote><p></p>
