Guys, my windscreen got a single line crack about 6-7 inch so might thinking to change the windsreen. Any idea how much the windscreen cost nowadays?

Salam bro, depending on wht you want and who to fixed it, price range wud be around RM1.7K - RM5K. R U covered?

if covered..just walk in, bring all the required docs and pay the difference (if applicable)..replaced mine @ Dr Cermin.

Earlier i had 10cent coin size crack on the mirror, claimed it from the insurance on 2010 it was costing about 5.3k mirror alone and the sensor cost about 200+, so all together came up to 5.7k ++. This was the 2010 rates chief, the current rate may be vary a lil bit. cheers

:listen:..In the meantime, to stop the crack from spreading, tht will cost you abt RM200+ at Dr. Cermin and if you do it here in Kuantan, its abt RM80. When your coverage is abt to expire then only go for the change.... ... many choices you can make before you change your WS. OEM is cheaper and BMW ori prices varies according to the "dot" on the screen. 4 dot is the most expansive compare to 5 or 6 dot. ... :top:

Btw, i try asking Dr Cermin for windscreen replacement. They qoute me RM2.5k for the glass. Lucky i insured the windscreen for rm3k so they said complete with installation also i dont need to pay anything. They will do the claim.

Thinking to do it next week. btw mine is 5 dot

5 dot is still ok bro coz the cheapest 5 dot in the market is abt RM1850. upah pasang siap clip and glue and wht not is abt RM600-RM700 ... All the best to you then. hope to see you at one of the weekly or monthly TT session to share thoughts ... :top:

Bro! You forget that you still have to tint the windscreen after installation... kalau kira macam ni.. kena keluar extra coz front windscreen is normally the most expensive part to tint :4: RM700-800 so altogether about RM3.3k??? LOL :vroam:

chief, your tint cant claim warranty? coz i remember when the time replacing the mirror i could able to claim back tint for free. Try check and see first, at least you could save up some $$ from there.
