I've only decided to do this now because I wanted to wait for all the dust to settle, all the dramas to have been played out and because I've just been busy for the past couple weeks since the event. First of all I was very very impressed with Bimmerfest Malaysia (BM). Everything went very smoothly in my opinion. And the turn out was awesome! Eventhough Bimmerfest USA (BU) had attendance in the thousands and has been an ongoing event for decades, I think everyone involved did Malaysia proud by numbering in the couple hundred. I'm particularly impressed with the community events, the Castrol Futsal thingy and the tire changing event. There was nothing like that at all at BU the times I've attended. The vendors: In BU there were dozens of booths from various companies all famous BMW tuners as well as well known name brands. I understand it would be highly unlikely to get that many in BM but was still happy to see some vendors including Castrol, Meguire's, Garmin and Continental there. Maybe a few more store and workshop vendors would do the trick. Location for BU is crazy, if you dont arrive 7am, you get stuck in traffic until noon, because SO MANY BMWs are jammed up in the hundreds all trying to enter the same parking lot. With BM, not so hard to get in and get parking I also liked how BM after event is at the nearby restaurant, can sit, relax, eat and drink away from the sun. At BU there are food vendors that sell hot dogs for almost RM20!! Normal hot dog you know?! Not some super duper giant hot dog with special ingredients!! Prize giving was a much more fun relaxed environment at BM compared to BU which was outside in the hot sun. Of course quality of cars in USA is a bit higher, more cars mean more variety. 2 Isettas showed up, bunch of other rare old school cars, lots and lots of modified cars, especially those that are sponsored by certain tuners and vendors. 4 different supercharger companies came and showed off their project cars. 1 car had both a supercharger AND a turbocharger installed!! But BM had some nice classics, and hopefully more will come next time. So I just want to say congrats, BM wasn't as big or glamorous as BU, but did a very fine job. Hope you guys can build on it for next year!

[QUOTE="Casanova, post: 12911, member: 145"] Having had the priviledge of being probably the only person in the world to attend both of these events, and competed at both as well I felt the need to make comparisons.
