The central lock will locked again if you release the lever and will unlock automatically if you turn off the engine. If you need to unlock it while the engine still on, you need to pull the driver's door lock pin. And if you already pull up the handbrake lever, it will locked again once you release it.My e30 central lock work differently. It is not the original lock. I can lock the car without cutting off the engine using the central locking remote controller. in certain circumstances it did help i.e. i can leave the childrens in the car with the aircond on if i'm buying a goreng pisang or doing some business with the atm.</blockquote>
