Audi S4, anyone?

To all sifus out there.How is it like to drive an Audi, particularly an S4, compared to a BMW. I'm looking at handling, overall built quality, maintenance and such, not forgetting performance wise, let say to a 335 / 135. Thanks.

I was in the market for coupes and i almost went with the B8 S5 which i test drove a lot! I tested a lot the v8 4.2l which i think is not available on the S4. Tested only once a 3.0 superchrged. Price wise the audi is way high so i opted for the M3 for about more or less the same price. The S4/5 is better looking than the E90/92/93 in my opinion and the quattro inspires confidence when driving but its no bmw.

Maintenance? Don't know how to compare. Built Quality? The audi is better and the s4/5 interior is way better than the 335/m3 everything looks good and the knobs and dials felt solid. The leather also seems better in the Audi. I would say the 335 is better and the M3 is way better if compare pricing. The 335/135 felt faster, maybe it's the quattro??

Both the S4 and 335i are mid way cars. Handling for both are not bad but not great. S4 is definately better where cornering and traction is concerned. Power down, the 335 plants its power down better due to less loss from the drivetrain.

Owenership, both are gonna set you back more than any normal run of the mill A4 or 325 since they're running hotter and more aggresively in terms of engine tune. Liveability, Audi is always best known for their interior quality. Exterior, very subjective. These points was recently commented by a buddy that owns both and S5 and the 335 and very recently the 1M.

In terms of buying, why not just go for an M3 or RS4? Not an S5, looks nice but not the best example of Audi's success.
