hey guys, any current m6 m5 owners here? would be nice if we could gather here for discussing any issues on our cars, or anything from tuning, performance upgrades, aesthetics enhancement and detailing?i have just gotten the car and will be modding it soon, the few things i am looking at is a supercharger kit, bbs rims and tires and vorsteiner hood and boot. anybody thinking of doing or done the above or know of the best place to get the rims or vorsteiner stuff at a great price??jamal

mine is a M6. but both m5 m6 shares the same engine and platform hence they are both applicable to the topic.

so let me begin with the topic of performance enhancement. i am currently running a ESStuning software for the car, loving it, the car felt so much lifelier and faster. but i am heading the force induction route soon. most likely getting a G-Power hurricane or ESStuning kit. my tuner Octane Motorwerks deal with both and they came highly recommended. i have experience running the ess setup on my other car. their kits are amazing and reliability and performance is all there. not too sure about the G-power hurricane kit but they are quite well known and established in the motherland. anyone got any experience using a g-power kit here?

Hi Hi....thanks for the invite.

that's nice, supercharging is by far the best mod out there for the $$$. what car and model did you have them on? and which ESS kit was it? they are the best of the best in the market, however vf engineering is something i would make a pass on as they do not have anything for our euro spec cars and reliability and customer service is terrible to begin with.

anyway, do you still any of the kits on any of your cars?

hey chemical,

you got a m3 right? what have you done with it?:top:

Hi,

there's too little done to my m3 & not worth mentioning :). but i test driven m3s with VF engineering & ESS kits on separate occasion when i was in japan & france. both awesome in performance especially when RON100 is abundance, but esthetically VFE's looks more stunning with stealth water-cooled running on GIAC software. ESS sight is just plain ol SC kit!

too little done? my oh my... you should really try at least a ecu remap and smg remap. i would suggest a ess tune for both. i have tried both the tune for my e46 m3 and m6. best 1st mod ever.

the vfe kit looks very similar to earliar ess vt2 kits but the performance is far lagging from what ess has to offer. anyway, i have chosen ess. besides the performance numbers, ess vt2 kits have been a proven kit for a long time and reliability and customer service from ess beats vfe anytime. last i check with ess, there are more than a handful of their kits running around when compared to the vfe's which has only a small minute number.

done the remaps - still consider too little to mention... there loads of other modded m3 worth mentioning here.. calvin's m3 perhaps? ;)

you done the smg remapping as well? its a well worth investment. my m3 was remapped in singapore when i first got it, that was only for the ecu, the car felt much better than stock, about 20+hp improvement with all my addons like full exhaust and gruppe m, but i got convinced into doing a ess smg remap few months back by my guy, and i am regretting not doing it earlier. should really try it.

calvin tan of eurocarmotorsport? yeah, seen that car before when i was at his shop. really nice, but prefer the e30 he has in his website.

btw - it's your money dude.. you're free to chose what's suits you... i like vfe still..

cheers!

Bro, care to elaborate further on the difference between the m3 remap and ess smg remap? any strong differences that you felt?

one is a engine software tuning where it tunes up the engine performance with better hp and torque output as well as power band while the other is a smg transmission tuning that improves the gear changes and power delivery. they have the tuning for non M as well including the steptronic performance software. :top:
