The car has 178k kms (112k miles) when i bought it and besides all the regular maintenance it had been top-overhauled, all 24 valve changed and also the manual gearbox been overhauled once too....Next month is my 1st anniv. using this car hehe and so far i've been following the periodic maintenance eg for one year i only changed radiator expansion tank, window regulator driver side and fuel pump/float. These 4 items has never been changed when i checked the maintenance record. And recently i've also changed the clutch master cylinder pump and clutch slave (or sleeve?).Now i'm the process of changing the electric and mechanical tensioners, all the pulleys, waterpump with metallic impellers, relevant hoses, gearbox/axle fluids.....I'm happy and feeling gratitude owning this beautiful car coz it handles so well and whenever the need arises it would do 200-220km/h anytime (god willing) and the meticulous periodical maintenance in turn gives very rewarding ownership.I'm also a member with the us site bimmerforums and learn a lot there too and i intend to achieve high mileage ownership like them too eg they have a lot of 150k - 300k mileage good running condition E36....I've seen a friends Mercedec W124 with mileage almost 700k kms mileage and to me it gives a very satisfying feeling seeing good running cars with this mileage.Orang kita cakap "Memang berbaloi pakai....."But to avoid similar maintenance of a car, we can always buy a Plug-In EV......which has only 2 gears, reverse and drive! Oh what a dull thing to feel on a road!</blockquote>
