All Check Lights on...all indicator

Dear Forum Senior

I am having an E60 525 Msport year 06. All the check light on the board suddenly appear...such as Airbag, Transmission, engine, Steering assits, and wiper keep on moving and gear stuck in one gear.

I had this problem and changed the chip as suggested by a workshop but am still facing this problem after i took back the car.

Please kindly advice me how to go about solving this issue and whether any workshop here that have encounter this problem before and had solved it...please help....

Bro,have you hooked up the diagnostic machine and had the codes read?
that is the way to start troubleshooting.i am gueßing one of your modules is busted.check for water leaks under your carpet.

Bro, nothing leaks...trying hooking up the diagnostic machine and it cant even access to it to read it....which is why my mechanic suggested the chip problem but didnt tell me in details....even after repair, am having the same problem.

That why i hope i can get some answers from here.

batter was changed also when this problem started...basically what needs to be done is done...but still cant solve it....sigh

Out of mutual interest, I have searched many international forum on e60s and has yet to come across any similar problem encountered by you. Do you have any idea what was the chip that was replaced by the workshop?

I never heard that you can change a chip for BMW. Maybe he meant the DME or ECU module.

you mentioned you still have this problem after taking back the car....meaning the w/shop was not able to fix this or the defect came back after taking the car?

i suggest you go to optimum damansara kayu ara ahfoo or mspeed kenny in usj....

Please bring your car to wireman for checking. Maybe alternator carbon?
