Gent,I got a problem with my BMW air cond. It's funny as the 2 ventilation on the driver side gives out warm air while the other 2 ventilation on the front seat is giving cool normal air cond airwhen driving 80 km above. When driving slow all 4 vent are working okay with cool air. Have any of you guys out there ever came across this problem before.

I guess I used to have the same problem but now after I change the 2 AC sensor ( 1 at the AC control & 1 at the gear shift ) now it is ok, better check with a reliable mech, worst case have to remove dashboard and find the problem.

Thanks Kean. Hope it's not that serious. Guess it's better I send mine to the BMW workshop in Brunei if needs to remove dashboard.

qme....bro...dont worry too much...talking from personal experience...i'd bet on two things...AC Sensors..and secondly...ur A/C Gas most probably is low...go to an aircon specialist that u trust...i'd bet u ur A/C Gas is low...if u were in PJ or KL i'd ask u to go to Naidu...almost every Beemer owners in this area knows him...dont send to AB...they dont know shit...most of the time they'll tell u nonsense...then u'll end up spending thousands of ringgit when the actual problem would have cost u only 50 ringgit..hope this helps...good luck :D

No Offence to AB people but sometimes they just dont bother about service but place more importance on making money...sad...but thats the truth...what a world we live in

:)

Thanks chubby for the advice. hope it's just the sencor or gas too low. I only got this problem after sending my bimmer to respray the for 2 months.

Usually, when an E46 aircon is spewing hot air from one side and cold air from the other, the cure is to top up the refrigerant (aircon gas).

But QME7555's problem is a bit weird - it is apparently dependent on the speed of the car ie. all is well above 80km/h.

BTW, QME7555, is your car LHD since it's German spec?

Yes, QME7555 - get it looked at so that when I go Miri next time, u can give me a ride! Good luck bro!

Bro, since ur car juz respray...check the micro filter as well, might be blocked with all the respray dust.

cheers.

No wglee, I install the HID in a shop. It's working but the problem is when the headlamp is not on, there is a warning light telling u that the headlamp got a problem or burn fuss something. Had went to BMW in Brunei to try sort that problem n was told not able to. So just have to live with it.

anytime jeff, come to miri and i'll give u a ride. Not many bimmer in miri except for those with Brunei plate. Most of the miri guys goes for merc. Don't know why.

i had the same problem on my 320i 2001. Hot air coming from the drivers side. When i checked it , I had to top up gas, it was pretty low and the engine was emitting a weird sound everytime I step on the gas. It's apprently the cooling coil and it cost a bomb. Better get yours check throughly.

If u open the bonnet, there's a long strip near the top of the engine bay... black plastic strip held in place by 2 plastic screws at side and 1 in middle. Unscrew & removecover - the microfilter's inside. @ options available for replacement - standard (about RM130, i think) and carbon-activated (RM180, i think).

The carbon one is supposed to help remove odours...

Thanks Jeff, will get that done when I'm back from work. Holy shit, looks like i will be spending quite a bit of money for my bimmer.
