hey bro, im not a E30 pro, but try to share with you some experience of what i faced on my E30, hope that it might solve your problem... 1) I am thinking of upgrading the rear braking systems disc. i) How much would it cost cost me if I was to buy from a 2nd unit from chop shop or anywhere else. Price range? the market price of a 323i rear brake disk set is about RM600++ ii) What are the things I should look out for to ensure the unit is a good one and not be faulty after fixing wheel bearing might be worn out and become noisy, brake caliper might be jammed due to the rusty condition iii) What do i have to be aware of such as brake hoses and pipes the original brake hose can be use back but is a bit longer iv) Is it advisable to use a 2nd hand handbrake cable of just use a new one? use it provided if your current cable is functioning well iv) What brand of brake oil should I use. any DOT4 brake fluid will do,just remember to do flushing every 10,000km-20,000km(the car is old, so are the brake line,is rusty inside, and brake fluid is not expensive) 2) After lowering the car using Eibach Prokit and Bilstein black suspensions, I notice this situation which came about 6 months after lowering the car. i) My rear left tyre top is tilting inwards ( negative chamber). How and where should i do this. Could i jack the wheel back to place? need to pump it, can't be adjust, if is about -1 degree then is still ok(my car is front -2 and rear -1) ii) There is a 'cluck' sound when i take the car in a corner and the car jumps over rough roads. which area? if the noise came out from the front area then it might be the lower arm ball joint, if is rear it might be your absorber or bushing problem. iii) after i sought the opinion of a small time non BMW expert mechanic, he claims my left rear absober is shaky. Is this normal? if its not, how do i rectify this. try to jack the car on a 4 post hoist, then lift the back side of the car and shake the absorber, if the free play is too unreasonable, then you need to seek for a new one p/s: my opinion, eibach spring is not suitable for the E30,is too soft for that kind of height, i used it before and damaged my exhaust system, so i have changed to adjustable now. at least it wont have the same problem and i can get more lowered setting...
