Am incredibly pissed off that my stupid glade air freshener leaked and dissolved the silver paint on my e46 318 dashboard...Never use this stuff!!!. Now I am left with a portion of the dashboard about 8 mm long by2 mm tall that I need to get patched up... Any recommendations for interior work shops in KL or PJ who could do this and match the color as well as possible? (and not too costly)... thanks guys

CF wrap.. very nice.. Ambi Pure and Glade proof.. :top:

No Ambi Pure or Glade for my E90.. paid quarter million for the sweaty German smell and am not going to spoil that.. betul tak Ramsing! :4:

If Glade can do that to your dashboard, imagine what it's doing to your whole body, especially your nose, throat and lungs, when you breathe it in.

A discoloured dashboard is the least of your worries with lung cancer not far down the road.

Salut

Have actually been coughing all day and I think its due to the spill.... want to take revenge on glade in some way..but still on topic... anyone know any interior repair shops?...that hole is annoying me like hell now......wish i just sprayed something to get rid of the burger king smell now lol

I think it's the alcohol in all this air freshener thing that melts the paint. Try wetting some tissue with perfume and leave it on any painted surface. Same thing will occur.

Wei! U helping him fixing his problem or trying to worsen his problem.. lol! :4:

actually, if possible dont use air freshener. the chemical contents could be harmful in the long run. get those charcoal mats instead to absorb/neutralise odour.

Oh didn't know there were charcoal mats. I'm assuming any accessory shop would have these?

haha.. can use for barbecue when need arises.. new to me too! I think the Charcoal is a color code.. :4:

Whenever my car got smell, nothing beats a good UV bath provided FOC by mother nature!

I know Daisho the RM5 shop carries charcoal of many types & shapes for various usage. I never tried one before but I heard it's excellent in removing new paint smell especially.

And I enjoy the original UDM smell, so no Ambi Pur, Glade, etc.

the charcoal mat i was talking about is called 'nanoblok'. it has charcoal elements in it, as charcoal has the characteristic to absorb toxic and odour. i am currently using to neutralise the damp-smell (caused by wet carpet). it is not a 100% smell remover, but somehow does help in reducing the odour.

do a search on lowyat for 'nanoblok'. you will see heaps of seller. (eg. http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/699600)
