If this guy can treat you like that, then he obviously has no integrity. You're better off not buying from this dude. By the way, care to share the dealer? So next time our fellow forummers will know to be cautious for this dude. Anyway, just wanted to add my 2 cents on this "to-Jap-or-not-to-Jap" issue. I myself had similar concerns. But I went ahead and got myself a E60 530 Jap spec. I would say it depends a lot on the dealer as well. If it is an established dealer, then they tend to be a bit more careful when selecting their cars, so at least chances are lower you get a lemon. Also, I had a few teething problems with the car (i.e. ignition coil, alternator) within the warranty period and they were all taken care of no questions asked. Since then, touch wood, so far so good. Also helps if before you buy, you take it to a trusted mechanic (Ah Meng for me!) and get his opinion also on the car. I hadn't tried Sapura or Ingress, but I find AB used cars to be too much premium for me. Then again, I suppose the reassurance of a longer warranty might be worth it too. In the end, all up to you and your level of priority and risk. Don't let this episode put you off BMW bro. Trust us all, once you drive a BMW, there's no looking back!
