Dear sifus,Seeking your expert opinions...If you had a 316i, what would be the mods that you would add on and what are the changes you would recommend? ( and no.. Not upgrade to 320i :p)Thanks

Don't waste your time and money to upgrade.
It will be more expensive than getting a 320i
and you can't get back the value if you happens
to sell it off later on as essentially it's still a
316i la..

yup I'm agreed on u :)

Curiously, when u know u want to upgrade the 316i, why u purchased it instead of 320i???

Raistlin.. congrats on your new UDM :top:

There'll be no shortage of advice on how to (or not to) mod your car in this forum and especially if u join the TT racun sessions.

My suggestion is for u to try enjoy your car as it is. Soon u will know if any parts need to be tweaked.

Modding/upgrading is never driven by economics.. it's more about passion & personal satisfaction..:burnout:

As a friend said to me, mod till kingdom come!! Race Chip Ultimate for daddy,DVD entertainment unit for the kids!

..and those nice black tints when you're out on your ride with your senorita's .
You might want to consider fitting our very own club members 'no more bouncy' suspensions , i think its called titiong or somethin....alantiong if you're readin this , sorry mate, just cant help it...

Why the 316i? Well, budget constraints as well approval required from "Home Minister" :p

With 4 kids in tow, you have to learn to sort your priorities. Just upgraded from a Civic as well. Been with that car for 6 years and figured I'd might as well drive a Beemer before I die!

To each his own :)

As long as you are content with your purchase.

Dont let anyone tell you otherwise.

Since you are already in the FB Group :) Let me racun you during our next Teh Tarik session.

I guarantee you will be left drooling and excited to start modding your F30 .

We dont discriminate.

316i, 320i, 320d, 328i, 335i. M Sport or non M Sport.

We are here to enjoy our cars, no matter what it may be :)

hehe... there's an ///M aso in the group lah.. haha... :listen:

I'm already drooling at the respective bodywork mods you guys have made to your cars..

One question though: will changing the stock 17" rims to 18" rims affect the car's performance in terms of acceleration and fuel consumption?

With 316i, you may feel a bit of power loss due to heavier weight of the rim.. and if you go the staggered route, more rubber contact on the road means more power loss.

Fear not. Power can be increased :p

Oh, and what is meant by staggered route? :)

Staggered route means the rear tires are wider than the front tires.

Commonly 18 / 40 / 225 in front and 18 / 35 / 255 at the back.

You can check for BMW recommended staggered setups. The configuration changes as you increase the diameter of the rim.

Regarding the power ... U have alternatives :p

Chip would probably be the most bang for buck ugprade .
