It's held in place with 4 large clips. I sorta slightly damaged one of the clip mounting on the trim when trying to pull it off (the clip remained in the hole. Had to use a trim tool to pry the clip from the hole and slide it back on the trim piece). It can still clip in but I don't think it can survive another dismantle. Maybe it was already damaged earlier as I was really careful by using minimal force. Sigh...Anyway, I've gained access to the 3rd brake light assembly. It turns out that it's properly installed but somehow it is still rattly when tapping on it. So I applied some 3M felt tape around it and reinstalled the plastic trim. The noise is now eliminated.</blockquote>
