True Affan but most commuters like you and me wouldnt know the reputation of some of these 'reputable' companies until something like this happens....which is too late. . too late in the sense that we have to let 20 die before something is done - even then, we wont know if enough will be done, or just seen to be done. It was reported that the fatal bus had 19 outstanding summons and some dating back to 1991 - 16 YEARS!. To renew your CVL one need Puspakom inspection every 6 months...one needs to renew your business licence every 2 years and so forth...dont tell me nobody knew of all these problems with this company until now. That's why we need to 'check and balance' and this is left with those authorities (note: operative word: authority) who are incidently employed by 'us' the Rakyat as they are called 'civil servants' That's where yours and my tax paid money is spent. These are the people we have entrusted to ensure our safety, to protect us from unscrupulous operators, etc...but seems that they are in cohorts with the illegals...
