Message: <blockquote data-quote="ALBundy" data-source="post: 300401" data-attributes="member: 15">I was actually at the scene when the firemen was trying to put out the fire. One of the plausible reasons can be due to the side impact the car had with a street lighting pole behind hitting the armco and went through it.  Upon the fire being put off, one could possibly see that the driver was trying to escape through the passenger door (the impact with the lighting pole was on the right side) and his head was outside the window, he could possibly be overcame by the choking smoke and the subsequent fire. His passenger was able to escape! It was gruesome and a lesson to all.  Drive safe!</blockquote>
