Driver side power window couldn't go up. Sent to workshop, checked bracket and switch said ok. Tried changing motor with second hand motor, worked for awhile during testing but after few tries, failed going up again. No problems going down. After testing of wiring, recommended to change brand new motor. Bought Borsh RM380 + Labour RM80 = RM460. Hopefully it will solve the problem.

I was in touch with anaksarawak throughout the Valve Seal ops. He was giving me valuable advice and suggestions. Thanks to him, I went ahead and removed the Cat Converter. The Check Engine light comes on though, have to go back to the workshop to reset the fault code. He did warn me about this beforehand.

    Thanks bro anaksarawak!

yes bro that sounds about right for an M54 full overhaul.sometimes can be more depending on what needs changing, hopefully the workshop is a reputable one and gives some after service guarantee.

Well, though east Malaysia is having higher price tag than west, but I still think your mech had overcharged you.
Just manage to dig out my last receipt, I bought the pats on Sep 2014. Here's the items breakdown cost that I bought from BA :

    1) 13327512019, Fuel filter - RM113
    2) 16141182905, Rubber seal - RM30
    3) 16146766942, Suction Unit (fuel pump) - RM355

About other 2 items (bought it on Feb 2014):
    1) 12120141871, spark plug - RM15/pcs
    2) 13721730449, air filter - RM35

Mine does that once in a while. Scanned it at MSpeed USJ and it was due to the brake pressure sensor. Was quoted RM1.2K to change both sensors and refresh the brake fluid. Haven't got to doing it yet, though.

Can any N42 owners advise me where in KL can I overhaul the engine? and after overhauling it, do you still encounter problems? Really appreciate if you can assist me here.

    Thanks
