This occurs to me at times ......sometime weather does plays a role....especially heavy rains...but it goes off by itself later. Probably short circuit somewhere. If it does not off say more than a day or so...see your mechanic
Mine goes on and off randomly for about a month and then burnt itself out. Cheap to replace though. Around RM5 for the bulb. I also remembered the dash light could be triggered by the tail lamp ground wire melting the power connector. Common for E46 but not sure your ride is E46.
Lately labour fees has gone up...I normally did normal service where I brought engine oil and filer and labour is now RM80 and previous was RM50. I did at the usual workshop in Subang....most of you know him/his place M. Is this the norm pricing elsewhere?

It cost me RM1600 :motz: for N46 engine swap labour cost in Johor, normally RM1000 should be suffix. All others related cost ie engine oil, filters, hose, plugs, etcs total up to RM1044 :stupid:
