Drive train issue causes the wiring harness burn by rats

I sent in my F30 318i to the service center due to drive train issue (prompted in idrive)

The SC called me just now saying that it's due to the wiring harness been bitten by rats and it's not claimable. They are charging rm1700 for this.

Anyone experienced this before?

Quite pricey considering only the short length of the harness was bitten. Guess they replacing the whole harness?
