Lets make a list of cool hidden functions our F10 have that others may not know of-- When you parked the car and turned both engine and ignition off, if you hold the signal knob for 3 sec in each of the directions, the front parking lights and day-time lights and rear LED daylights will turn on.- The "diamond" button on your Key Fob has dual-purpose. Press briefly and the lights come on. Press and hold for 3 seconds to initiate the panic Alarm.

Actually for the 1st feature parking light is available since E36 from my own experience. Cool function which i always use if park at nite.

Thats a cool Feature InitialM, do you mean it also available on every other Model (s) for example E60, E90 ? Actually yesterday was the First day, i took my Owners Handbook from the Car and going through it since i bought the Car :D But Frankly speaking, thats a Dictionary, but am beginning to Find out New Stuffs which i will Post here soon and i do encourage anyone who knows any other Cool Feature to Kindly post it here to make it easier... am not sure i will have the time to Finish reading the Owners Handbook

Yup bro, so far all the model I've own available. Only that its angel eye light on since no DRL.
I think there is a thread discuss on cool feature of BMW earlier but i cant recall hehehe.
and normally people will tell me.... Bang u lupa tutup lampu keta bang hahaha.
Then i said nanti I amik kelambu kasi tutup kakaka

-Just found out that when am ready to turn off engine and leave can i can press the "Start Stop Button" while the Gear is still in "D" drive and the tranny will go to "P" park. The second push of the button shuts the engine off. This will eliminate pressing the "P" Park button on top of the shifter when I am ready to leave the car.

-Just discovered that pushing in the Radio Volume Button, will actually PAUSE/MUTE the media that you're playing, and it will stay paused even after you turn the car off, then on. And After Pushing the Radio Volume Botton to PAUSE/MUTE the media you're playing, if you want to Turn it on back you dont need to Push the Radio Volume Botton again if you choose not to, you can just turn the Radio Volume Button to the Right as if you are increasing* the Volume and the Media will continue playing :top:

Press and hold the lock button, 1st doors locked, few seconds later, side mirrors fold.

When coming into your car, press and hold the open button, 1st door opens, then all 4 windows come down :) . dont think its a new trick though, works on my F10.

Thanks for the input Goks, irrespective of the Fact that its not a New Tricks but the fact still remains that not all of us know about this Trick...Most might Know and Few Might not  Do update if you get to Find out more New Tricks :top:

It's works on my F30 also for the 1st item. My screw up SA never inform me. I guess he is not aware either. He even don't know there is a button on the speedometer to reset the trip meter. WTH!

Interesting. My 528 dings at me and tells me that I have forgotten to put it into park. Perhaps the function does not apply to the sport auto?

Most Car's i have tried, even mine and my inlaws 528i don't Ding ... Did you try it just like i stated on my previous post? When you Park and the Gear is still on "D" and you just Press the "Start and Stop Button" Try it again bro :top:

With seat belts on and gear engaged into D or R, car will automatically release parking brakes and vehicle will move.

Is this for real ? I need to Try this again shortly. I remembered there was a day around KL i almost Crash one already Parked Porsche. I engaged the Gear to "D" but the Parking Brakes was on, but i accidentally Slammed my Accelerator (Foot Pedal), But my Car didn't automatically release my Parking Brakes (But i cannot Confirm if i was already on Seat Belt), it just DING at me, reading "Parking Brake"

Will try this soon. Thanks for info E60Msport :top:

It's for real.. Happens on my MY13 528i. No seat belt on even when parking brake engaged, you accelerate, it says "Please disengage parking brake" if you I have my seat belts on, the car will automatically release the parking brake and start to move.

Tip 2 : To reboot i-Drive (CIC-High or HU-High a.k.a NBT) press and hold volume button for approximately 30 seconds.

Thanks for info...Will also Check out this, but hope it wont Erase all the Coding i have done to my Car?

I did and it worked as you said.

Checked out a couple of combinations of this though - I have a habit of putting engaging the handbrake, putting it into N and letting the handbrake take the weight of the car (I park on a slope every night), then it dings.

Excerpt below from another forum, relating to the E60. Definitely worked on my E60 back then. Anyone know if it works on the F10?

Well I keep forgetting to post this but I forget what post I read it in so started a new one so nobody would miss this. If you have an auto and experience any "rough" shifts. For example for me it is when I would downshift from 3-->2 and ESPECIALLY from 2--> 1, it would feel like my car was a rocking chair.

Well then someone posted a tip and links to other threads on this in different forums I believe and was confirmed by a BMW tech who chimed in on the thread-and it WORKED well for me.

You put your key in/hit start ONCE so the electronics of the car come on but it is not started.

Then hold down the gas, past the downshift point to the floor for 25-30 seconds straight.

If you listen, at about 25s exactly you will hear some "noise" and that is the tranny "resetting" itself to factor specs

Like I am sure you know these cars are smart and the auto tranny is no exception. It adapts and learns your driving style-but the catch is, which is why I noticed an improvment. Apparently it "learns" for about 1000 miles and then kind of "locks" those settings in so-to-speak. So however you drove the car off the lot or whover drove it off the lot-it was really those first 1k that determined how the autobox shifted itself.

So anyway after I did that my downshifts were like 10 times smoother and overall shifting was much crisper and smooth.
