Started this thread to document down the ups and downs of owning my beloved E32 730i... And oldie perhaps, but I love it to bits. Started embarking on my very own Once in A Lifetime Projek [inspired by Mizhan of course! :9:] recently and I think I will go down the Alpina route. :love:All thanks to racun fed & rekindled by Mr. Badrul a couple of days back, and since then I cannot stop myself from splurging to make my ride special. Main suspects who have never failed to support me, are - Mizhan, Badrul, Yazmeen, Serjit, and special mention to Gregcwho for always guiding the young padawan in me to understand the E32 better. :)So, here's a brief pic-history on my sojourn...The Alpina craze started off last year, when I bought an Alpina sticker and stuck it to the boot:[IMG][IMG]Then, sometime in the middle of last year I did a HUGE faux pas for the Alpina purists out there, jeng jeng jeng:[IMG] Installed a fake Alpina roundel on my boot. :p Pure Sacrilege! Then, got lectured and rehabilitated & was soon, back on track, by removing the Alpina emblem on the boot. Then, today itself, I temporarily replaced the Alpina bonnet emblem with the BMW one on the bonnet till I find a replacement, since it's more apparent from the rear. :p [IMG]Went to Bavarian Auto in SS18 this morning in search of a brand new roundel, but was told it was out of stock. Haiya. But wait, all was not lost as I ended up ordering a pair of brand new fogs for my E32 instead. [Updates in a weeks' time!]Then, pergi to Sunway, went to this place which was recommended by Mr. Mizhan, and was elated when they said the Alpina decals were in stock. So, gladly went for Silver decals to match the rims [Gold was sadly, OTT] and went off for an hour. But when came back, aiya, owner said, need to remeasure cos previously they only did for E30 and E34... So, ended up the designer had to reprint, remeasure, and recalibrate the stickers to fit the E32. INSTALLATION[IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]http://i1132.photobucket.com/albums/m580/woodentiger86/IMAG0936.jpghttp://i1132.photobucket.com/albums/m580/woodentiger86/IMAG0938.jpgOoh la la, those magical 6 letters. :love:http://i1132.photobucket.com/albums/m580/woodentiger86/IMAG0939.jpghttp://i1132.photobucket.com/albums/m580/woodentiger86/IMAG0940.jpghttp://i1132.photobucket.com/albums/m580/woodentiger86/IMAG0941.jpghttp://i1132.photobucket.com/albums/m580/woodentiger86/IMAG0943.jpghttp://i1132.photobucket.com/albums/m580/woodentiger86/IMAG0944.jpg

Although the decals isn't exactly the original E32 per se as per below, I still am liking it, as they based their decals on the E30 instead.

Missing the smaller Alpina fonts near the headlamps, but heck, I got my stripes!!!

Next to come, hopefully the Alpina B11 3.5 decals, banyak mahal, and of course, ultimate dream is to shod my car with those 16"/17" Alpinas...

Bro, I thot you wanted to respray your car? Should've done that before the sticker... but good job so far and wishing you a safe and pleasant (and hopefully, inexpensive) journey towards the Alpina project!

If doing respray, would need to be the top side. Now the decals along the bodyline, and the paint isn't that bad.

Would probably need to seek KC to help detail my ride one day.

Haha, thanks for the support Andrew. Haven't seen you and your E38 for quite a long time. :p
