Hey jsen, is that you who called? Keep it up, and keep us informed of the results! Be aware that the idling will hunt for a while after plugging back the ECU.
phew, wat a day under a pokok.. thks for the help of vincent n LCP... results are hard to define, maybe due to pychological.. but i found tat its more revvy n it really pulls on mid rpm... shit, the kling kling sounds are more obvious now.! might be the AF, ignition or engine oil prob... any input on this?
mine need size 7 instead of 8... for this, i used a plier which makan damn lots of the time..! n for an auto car, its has a double 2 ecus... one for the auto tranny(upper deck.. the car ecu is at the btm..!
Hahahahah ...finally the potato chip was in .......test drive tomolo....... let ur car to run another day or two....let the ECU learn the new mapping.....
You missing one thing " M3 Cams", If you got this install........i don't how to describe the word call "Siok"
err... u probably need a manual to feel the different on for the M3 cams.. if auto. then its kinda LPPL.. hehehe>! not so advisable for auto le.! ok le.. slight improvement nia.. i felt tat the car is more lighter, responsive is a sure... mid n top end power increase tremendiously..hmmm, the nex thing in mind, perhaps need to change the brakes instead..!
Putting just the chip alone does not warrant the need to change the brakes yet, the chip simply frees up a few horses at the top end and also make the car more driveable. Of course upgrading to better brake pads is always recommended, chipped or not, just no need to change to big mama discs...
well, agreed with u CP.. kinda exaggerated if chipped need to replace brakes..! just tat feel tat, suddenly my brakes system are not as perfect as normal anymore.!
no le. my master pump still workin fine.. checked alredy.. just felt tat the brakes aint workin perfectly like it used to be..!
i suggest u check brake fluid and caliper, seal etc. If I am remember correctly, there are service kits for caliper.
FYI. With the new chip, you do not have rev limiter anymore. So watch the revs closely when you tarik....good excuse to fit a shift light.hehhehe No offense to anyone, ok?
The chip is to give you advance ignition meaning better power respone, not the purpose of rev to redline. The old car like '94 / '95 sure mati cepat if always rev to redline.
itu I tahu lah....just be careful when downshifting. With the ori chip, there's a rev cut. You can still rev all the way to redline. But the limiter cuts in. With this chip dont have mah. So have to be careful loh... heheheh....
true lah..but we already know of a guy who wrong shifted and damaged his engine, right? So have to watch out loh.. Me not saying the chip not good mah... Imagine running in 4th gear at 180kmh then instead of shifting to 5th, u masuk 3rd instead..... Or if you masuk corner and downshift and release clutch too fast... wah...me cakap macam expert..hehhehehe the chip is still a good upgrade...just be careful loh...
