    Hi guys,

My F10 is clocking at 114k km, the absorber seems a bit "floating" while cornering,

Any idea how much it costs to change the absorber?

    Thanks

Just give a call to any of the BMW parts stockist - Bavarian Auto, Bomin, Inner Powert etc. They will give a quote based on your VIN #

Hi guys, how to get VIN number?

I feel the floaty on normal mode whilst doing normal cruising; entire car bend over one side even on smooth cornering,

Any idea how much it costs to replace 4 of these absorbers?

    Hi all,

I just diagnose my car and found both rear absorber is worn out,

Quoted total RM 6,600 to change both rear absorber, damper, ECU reset,

They claim it is due to electronic absorber which costs this much,

    Is this price reasonable?

I am also keen to know if 6600 is reasonable. Perhaps other members can share if doing it outside after BSRI expiry is cheaper?

    To all F10 owners,
If you wish to save up the cost of changing electronic absorbers(EDC Suspension),we can now do the coding on your EDC suspension to Non-EDC suspension and you change to normal absorber without EDC at low cost.
For more info please call us.

when changing to non EDC suspension, this means I lose the adjustable damping effect on comfort and sports mode? if this is true, then the toggle switch is only to control the throttle response?

I'm not too sure, hope "autofuture" will reply soon,

But frankly, replacing both rear absorber at the price of RM6,600, its way expensive to have the adjustable absorber; the front I've asked costs 500-700 more per absorber,

Anyhow, I myself don't even use the function, it's always on Normal mode...

Yes....let's wait for autofuture reply. I use it quite frequently. I usually use the sports mode for firmer suspension settings when I am 130kmh and above.

Comfort too floaty at high speeds. Prefer to have the adjustable dampers available as it will be easier to sell the car next time.

Anyone else can advise instead of waiting for a response from Auto Future?
