mvaght87, you are right that the going price is around RM25k. But ultimately it'll depend on the condition of the car. E36 328s are at least 16 years old these days and there are a lot of choices currently in the market. For example, the car might cost you 25k but will need you to dump in another 5k for repairs. Compare this to a well maintained unit which costs you RM30k. You can work the maths out.
Nonetheless, hunt and wait patiently enough and you're bound to come across well maintained units at the correct price. At the end of the day, willing seller willing buyer. I took at least a year to get mine. Just my 2 cents. Good luck in your search!!!

Correct bro, be patient. Owning cost is RM25K. But operating cost may end a few additional K. E36 is more than 15 years in the market. It may need major maintenance when you own it if you want tahn peace of mind when driving it! If not you may have migraine later on. 
Owning a UDM is just like having a girlfriend. You only take her out on weekends, she need to be pampered and they are high maintenance too!
If you are patient and lucky enough you may find a E36 that is in good condition without major issue. It really depends on the previous owner!
It took me a year to decide, gathering info, preferences and before in the end decided to acquire my UDM.

Actually I'm also open to E36 325i's / 323i's as the torque figures are quite good enough for me and that's a few hundred off the road tax
Although... those models are older and I've also read that the 328i's were made to be more fuel efficient than those?
