Greetings and Good Morning. :D Having read most of the reviews from the internet, i was wondering if the 1 series owners here care to share/comment on their 1 series especially in terms of : 1. Reliability. Has it been a trouble free ownership so far?2. Comfort - town driving & long distance.3.The run flat tyres. Any one changed ther tyres so far? Did u change it to another run flat OR change to normal ones.4. Servicing of the car. How was the service at the service center? 5. Any further comments that u would like to add? Happy with the car? Worth every ringgit? :) Your feedback is very much appreciated.Cheers...

2. Comfort - town driving & long distance.
3.The run flat tyres. Any one changed ther tyres so far? Did u change it to another run flat OR change to normal ones.
4. Servicing of the car. How was the service at the service center?

Hi there pion :4: r u driving one right now? or u hvthe intention to buy one??

Btw here is my feedback

1. Reliability = i have no problem with mine untill recently after i send it to a
carwash it seems to be underpower, right now my baby is at
Sapura Auto, gonna pick him up later :4:

2.Comfort = town driving:top: :top: good on cornering:top: as for long distance base on my experience i have no problem with it, but ofcourse if im comparing to a merc C200 , the C200 is much more comfortable but my 1series give me driving pleasure :top:

3.Run Flat Tyres = i just got mine for about 2months++ so far no probs :top:

4.Servicing of the car = Sapura Auto Service is very GOOD :top: :top: and they r
helpful as well, just make sure u get the right salesman
so tat u dont have trouble with ur after sales service
*trust me coz mine was a miserable experience with d
salesman*

5. Any further comments = I'm happy with my ride :4: my advice to u if u intend to get one go for it!! worth every ringgit tat u spend on  it doesnt matter what ppl said whther its a CRAP or bla bla bla by the end of the day what u think tats matter the most

Regards
SainaSaad

My comments:

1. Reliability. Has it been a trouble free ownership so far? - Yup no issue so far

2. Comfort - town driving & long distance - Town driving is good coz car is nippy can zig zag between cars well due to its size & pick up. Long distance very stable when going at 180-200km/hr. There is comfort for the driver & front passenger. Back seat passengers will find it not so comfy due to lack of leg space & the hard suspension. Also the run flat makes the car hard. If want comfort, go for a Honda or Toyota. 1 series is a driver's car & goes for the performance.

3.The run flat tyres. Any one changed ther tyres so far? Did u change it to another run flat OR change to normal ones. - I still have not changed my run flats, car mid 2005. Have not decided whether to change to normal tyres later

4. Servicing of the car. How was the service at the service center? - Car was under warranty till Dec'07 and I sent it to AB when I travelled (free storage for car for me). Customer service is not so good compared to Honda (I had good experiences with Honda). Car service at AB ok.

5. Any further comments that u would like to add? Happy with the car? Worth every ringgit? - It all depends on what u're looking for. I wanted a car with performance that can go FAST & not too big for me since I'm petite. I'm happy with my trixie.

Then forget it.. hahahahahaaaa...

Let go the steering and see the car still go straight or not la.. there is a standard, which I forgot.. its something like travel about 100kph, let go steering and see how long does it hold on to the straight lines before requiring grabbing the steering again.. The standard say the car should not deviate more than 5 ft from the straight line after ..... I think 3 seconds..

Now my E90 can safely do it for more than 5 seconds, no problem. Before, not even 1 second, the car immediately pull to the left!!

.. and when I let go steering when cruising at about 60kph, the steering is wobbly/shivery.. Complain la... apa lagi mau tunggu.. :D Got it fix.. FOC!!

Another friend having similar problem but his is more than 2k km now.. kena bayar RM300!!!

Alrite bro :top: thanx for the info  ill try it later and if got any problem sure ill complain :4:

Grace! sorry if i mention this, if u want performance u should go for a Golf GTi 2.0 turbo with DSG gearbox tutup mata out run 1 series any time somemore cheaper. Just my 2 cents.

Seriously, 1.6 SSS (Suzuki Swift Sport) and 2.0 CTR (Civic Type R) can tapau the 120i anytime. Same goes with VW GTI.

But if I have to spend RM200k on a car, it better has a premium badge.. :D unless my garage oredi filled with badges and have excess RM200k to "toy" around....

I don't think so, we will know when BMW slap in a DSG gearbox in the 320i and then we check out their price tag.. :D Aiyaa... without DSG also 320i is more costly than GTI.. if its not premium.. I don't know what la..

The premium range as far as I'm concerned, its BMW, Merc and Audi. Ferrari, Aston Martin, Porsche... all those don't talk la.. :D

VW is similar range as Peugeot, Fiat, Skoda, Alfa Romeo, Seat, Renault..

Gee... I dunno where Mini, Volvo, Lotus and SAAB goes..

Is it really a preference issue like cppeng mentioned? Then my E90 320i is overpriced..

Its interesting to get to sit down to listen to others taking about GTR35, GT3, Cayman, M3, M5, R8.. I doubt I can afford any of these more than half a million Ringgit car in this life.. my Boss only driving a Camry.. My E90 also got to hide at home before my Boss say "Mau lawan Boss ka".. :D

This is 1-series thread la... why am I talking about all these crap.. :D cppeng started it..
