Message: <blockquote data-quote="bmwcar" data-source="post: 158191" data-attributes="member: 2286">sorry guys... the drive was discussed on Saturday morning via a couple of calls and sms's.... only 6 of us managed to make it at 630am meeting....one joker who stays at the Vatican had to give it a miss as he was only back from his dinner at 6am!!! Going up : all cars no issues..... it helps that it is mainly uphill so brakes not really used..... 6 potters....both suffered brake fade on the way down from awana using the genting road......so had to slow down half way down, use engine braking and then after that start spirited driving again..... but for me, it was a case that near Awana, for the first 10 corners down, i did not use much engine braking but the actual brakes, only later, i began to use engine brake - 1 and 2 on the step but at that point, think the brakes were already half cooked..... My brakes are okay after that so think it was only the pads/discs that overheated for that short bit..... 4 potters.....after the run on the karak highway, 2 of the cars had the check engine light come on when we stopped after the toll......but no issues with oil levels or water temp...and they had no loss of power.....guys, once checked out, please post the results of the check..... the yellow M3 : he had no problems at all.......</blockquote>
