PANASSS!! Red Hot E36 318i (A) sedan

I just thought I'd document my car's journey for the fun of it . A bit of history/backgroundad bought me the car while I was back for summer internships in 2007 and did not want me to drive his cars to work. The car was stock except for paint - it was silver but when I popped the hood the engine bay was red. Pic below was taken during my DIY door repair; red paint visible.I had it repainted back to its original red when my fender and a parking pillar met on a late night lepak session in September 2010. Painting it back to red gave me some serious racun...My self-racun plans as of 05/06/20111) Interior restoration (0/100%)2) Exterior upgrades (0/100%)3) Suspension refresh/upgrade (0/100%)4) Manual conversion (25/100%)Actually, I'll update the plans as and when I get funky ideas! This serves just as a tracker for what I have done.Now let's get to the pictures!

31/05/2011: Saw an ad on Mudah for a set of Racing Dynamics RGS 17" rims with tyres for RM1,600. Rushed to Utama Tayar in SS2 as soon as I clocked out of work. Wheels looked good but didn't want to commit because didn't know if they were original or not! Went home and slept over the problem.



Woke up next morning thinking "what the heck la, fake rims also around this price". Additionally they fit my requirement which was they had to be 17" and have 5 spokes. I went to the tayar shop to place downpayment with instructions to paint matt black.

02/06/2011: Picked up the rims and they were fitted to my car. Went to the inaugural Subang TT to show it off hehehe! Results:

I know, right! Too bad I needed a set of rims in matte black and these were just lying around at the right price for me LOL! If my car were any other colour I'd get them painted back to silver.

1) I have serious gap issues! Need to lower the car
