Guys,I am new here. Just drop by a second hand car dealer shop (KLx) in Setapak when passing by the road last Sunday. There is a used registered Cooper metallic blue Auto-CVT for sale year 2003. The interior is clean while the exterior is good as well. Wonder if it is advisable to consider this car. The car no plate is WKx 101 and was brought in by grey importer. My concern is whether all the duty, AP and etc are genuine. If the car was brought in by Auto Bavaria, then no problem at all. The asking price is RM138,000 negotiable with mileage of 18,000km (not mistaken) Actually I am looking for a manual Cooper but got no harm looking at others if price and car is good. Any comments ?

kl* auto n m*ng h*ng are own by the same ppl...correct me if i am wrong...if u are interested...take down the vin number n check the manufacturing date...mileage wise u can do a modic check too...dunno why..i never trusted them even they can produce the AP n car registration card..i know u can get a duplicated car registeration card easily if u pay some money!!cheers!!happy hunting..if i see any good manual mini around i will let u know!

Cooper S is not within my budget. 2nd hand unit Cooper S will be at least range of RM150,000 above (if based on old price of Auto Bavaria). Don't think there are any manual Cooper around since Auto Bavaria only brings in the manual one in 2005.

There seem to be a craze on Mini Cooper S now, judging from my experience. If you can lay your hand on a used unit at RM 150k, I'll advise you to grab it. An 03 unregistered model (Jap spec) is being retailed at RM 185k (based on actual transected price) by an used car dealer. I recently saw an ad in The Star quoting an 02 model at RM 186k!

Nice to hear from you. The Japan Spec Cooper S is too expensive at RM185,000 for 2002 or 2003 unit. Add a little bit more, rather go for the new unit with warranty. Heard lots about Cooper S but is beyond my budget. Tried the Cooper manual on the Mini test drive day but have miss out the Cooper S as got to go off earlier due to some family commitment.
There are a few Cooper S units in the Star and Motor Trader for sale but the Japan units are still there for quite a long time and no takers.

Just went for a test drive a year 2002 Cooper CVT metallic blue with white top with clean interior and exterior. Unfortunately the car is already with 2 ownerships (including current owner). Asking final price RM130K. Car was brought in by a Honda dealer, WestSxxr in Jln Ampang in 2002 (registered in Nov 02) and was subsequently sold to current owner last year with new registration plate (WME8xxx). Upgrade to 17 inch rims, car service in Jalan Ipoh and the mileage is 18,000 mile (UK spec I supposed).
My heart still goes to the manual version as afraid of the CVT gearbox problem which could cost a bomb if malfunction. What would be the reasonable price for such a car and any comments please?
The Chilli red 2004 Mini Cooper is again on sale in Star paper at RM163,000 which I think is still expensive given that the new car price is RM170,000.

Sorry I don't get u. A new 2005 facelifted Mini One only selling at rm147k at AB with 2 yrs warranty somemore; whereby this used 2002 old model is asking for rm130k. What else to think.. his one made by gold meh. Of course you should go for either the cvt or the manual with sunroof n sport seat one at AB lah. Interest rate for new car is cheaper also, and you can choose the colour you want.

But the Cooper comes with more goodies compared to the Mini one which is rather striped down.
Agreed with E46fanatic, Cooper have better spec than Mini One but the current manual Mini One is not too bad with new facelift, sun roof, sport seat and etc. In term of second hand market, most Mini enthusiasts will go for Cooper which is more fun and extra horse power. Anyway, since I am not in the hurry of getting one, will shop around for the time being. Cooper.
