Hello Friends ,I am driving E90 Msport Japan spec 2006.I feel so uncomfortable driving it.it's too bumpy I am not sure about other E90.Can any one advice me,How can I improve my suspension.I already check my absorbers ,it's in good condition.I am thinking to change my spring is there any good one in the market for E90.How about original E90 springs ,any one knows about the price of this? Thanks.:banghead:

What is your rim size and tyres make? Is it stock or you have changed it to those 19" or 20" rims? If you are on 18" stock rim, changing to better quality non-RFT first to see the effect would be a good consideration.

My E90 comes originally with M-Sports suspension and 18 inch staggered wheel config. Well.. like you, my ride is particularly harsh on the setup.. but I think it is most likely due to the RFT tyres then. I learned to live with it cos I drive on highway most of the time.

After my current tyre change to Eagle F1 AS2, I can tell you the ride comfort increase quite significantly. I think must be due to the softer sidewall of my new tyres. Handling is equally as good but comfort is quite apparent.

Perhaps you might wanna to think about this as well

1. change to non-RFT (big improvement in ride)

2. if thats not enuff, change to KW V2 (imo best suspension for the E9X)

MSport setup is always "stiff" as compare to Lifestyle model.

It is stiff for handling purposes. The spring and shock are pair together as a set.
if you want to change the spring, you also need to change the shock to set it back to "normal".

Changing the tyres might help but not much different in term of comfort.
Changing the rim to 17" might help but you lose the look of the 18"

Best option is to find somebody who have normal setup to swap with you. You might
even get some money back for the exchange.

Gan,I have a set of stock springs, wanna swap?

"Stiff" because u driving too slow.. go faster, the "shock wave" will be flatten.. :4:

I'm having the same problem but my situation is worse because I'm living near cyberjaya/putrajaya where the roads are like roller coaster up/down up/down.. I just got the car two months and cannot tahan already.. now thinking of changing to something.

Went to KL Auto this morning to ask, they suggested Koni FSD shocks.. about 4k total.. I heard good reviews about this.. will I need to change my springs as well? what do you guys think?

You can also try using a lower tyre pressure settings. Work wonders on horrible roads.

I still find the 325 suspension to be nice ... better/softer/smoother than my Lancer GT :)

Do you have any experience with this custom made suspension or know how much they charge? Maybe I'll give them a call to see..

wz3k, if you are willing to fork out 4k, what not consider custom-made suspension? You can go all the way for handling or all the way for comfort.

Give RCS a call - http://www.facebook.com/RCS.suspensions

Talk to Clayton or Nanda. You will be well taken care of.

if u r running rft then chuck it, huge improvement in comfort n suddenly the ride becomes more compliant taking away the jarring shocks to your bladder, guts, etc.
consider the newer LCI msports shocks as replacement, they are OEM Sachs while the pre LCI is Bilstien which is stiffer.

Hi Bros,So sorry for late reply,Thanks for all of you. Some of you are willing to swap the springs ,Let me think first.

Dear BlackE90 are you willing to sell it ?how much. I prefer to keep my springs, your springs are from what modal.

Hi Bro,Thanks for your advise ,Mine is still original 18,bridgestone.I am thinking to change to Non RFT but worry without spare Tyre a bit risky .

Prob with not having a spare is when the tyre splits. No patch up kit can help you.

The patch up kit really works? Is there any one using this kit before?

They work for nails etc. At least will get you back to civilization for sure. Hehehe
