Hey guys, anyone here has gone through the whole process of getting the classic road tax discount? mind sharing the process?

Used to hear that it was stringent, everything had to be period-correct, even on the radio unit.
Now maybe more relaxed.

A lot of classic cars owners especially those lower cc engine ones didn't bother going thru the hassle. Mostly those big cc engine cars go for the discount. Big savings if the engine capacity is >3000cc.

How old vehicle has to be, to qualify as classic?

IIRC, 25 years. However, from what I know, not every cars above 25 yrs can be listed as classic car... The first gen Proton Saga is 28 years but it is not a classic for sure or is it? ;)

currently paying rm1300 for a 2.7 cc

quite substantial for an old car..

Bro, mine is RM2047.00 for a year...:motz:
Yours is cheaper....somemore i have 2 more years to make it classic...

in a nutshell, it must be 25 year or more for classic. vintage i think is 40 or 50 years, cant remember. must be no modifications. radio i'm not sure, maybe u can take out ur radio and say send back to germany for repair. lol..

u need to have another 2 newer cars under ur name, and have to also join a recognised club. like the vintage clum of malaysia or something like that. then go for inspection once u got everything i suppose.

pussy....ya, me too. another 2 years. but ur roadtax so cheap la. apa la lu...pls drive a car with a proper sized big engine :D

Nanti we all go together-gather in 2 years time. Will need to do mine too if the car is still around la ehhee
