The dreaded ABS warning popped up 3 times in the past month, but luckily I've reached the 50k Vehicle Check (full inspection) a month before my BSRI expires. Among other small things changed and software updates uploaded during the four-day stay, they changed my ABS pump! Failure of the ABS pump is a common problem, and it's something we can't do without because besides braking, the DCS depends on it, and therefore the 50:50 neutral handling of the car. Changing it at own cost would have cost more than RM11k.Strictly speaking, it's not a BSRI item, but because it was a scheduled vehicle check and my unit was still under BSRI, the goodwill warranty was readily approved. BSRI is really tops in my books, as I've had a good number of things changed for free in the three years. :top:Here's a tip for those of you who are in your third year of ownership, and warranty has expired. Try to reach 50k within your third year and send it in for the vehicle check. Anything that's failed or failing is very likely to be changed on goodwill by BMWM. :top: Be prepared to leave the car there for a few days.
