This App me thinks is THE app to have for the DIY'ers....

The cable I bought in Aug '14 from Germany thru ebay in preparation in case a fault emerges. The white cable is the OTG adapter bought locally.

Last week the engine fault came on which prompted me to purchase the rm 201 app.

#6 ignition coil was faulted and replaced for rm70.

yesterday I ventured further into the app and coded the following:

my e60 turn signals came set to auto blink 3 times when the stalk is tapped.coded it to 5 which is just nice for lane changing maneouvres.

my car had only the signal light blinking when the car is locked.coded to have the beep beep sound as well.

but for the parameter monitoring i was not able to connect...donno why.lovely to have.i thnk got more than 30 parameters...batt voltage, engine speed, oil temp etc....will try again i guess....

Today i installed the ivini app (download it free from google) and connected to my bluetooth OBD adapter. The connection can be established and manage to diagnose the fault code.

The app is very useful for diyer. will explore the coding feature soon.

google playstore still charge RM200 for the app. But i download the installer (.apk file) from google. Someone already shared the installer on the net.

just download and installed in my phone. :)

Just install the app in my phone work great and happy with the app.just do some cooding n still leaning to use this app

even with full version, some diagnostic result will not give the full description of the fault.the fault code also appears.then we will have to decipher what the fault code means and what component has failed.perhaps getting a code decoder from playstore can help...
