Reunion Turns To Tragedy, Three Killed, Two Injured In AccidentSEREMBAN, July 4 (Bernama) -- A college reunion turned into a tragedy when three friends were killed when two cars collided at Km277.5 of the North-South Expressway near the Nilai toll plaza near here at 4.30am Sunday.The dead were Mohd Sofee Mohd Tahir, 50, Ghazali Abdul Majis, 52, and Zulkarnain Adam, 49, who were passengers of a BMW which was heading south.Before the mishap, the trio, who were ex-Universiti Institut Teknologi Mara (UiTM) students had a reunion along with the driver of the BMW, Zahari Abdullah, 49, who escaped with light injuries, said a police spokesman.The driver of another car, a Danish man also escaped with light injuries. His identity is still unknown.He said the accident allegedly occurred when the Danish man drove against the flow of traffic after being involved in a minor accident with another car.The Danish man was on the north bound lane before he allegedly made a U-turn, he added.Negeri Sembilan traffic staff officer ASP Abd Halil Hamzah confirmed the report when contacted.

Both cars A pillars collapsed from the pics (although seemingly more severe on the BMW), but the Kangoo did not have anyone seated at the front passenger seat.

it's an E34. the sweedish was drunk if i'm not wrong. i doubt safety belt will help too much since its a head to head collision and i'm pretty sure the ones in front do wear his seat belt

My first thought it was an E39 but then the boot looks like an E34... Very hard to recognise because of the severe damage.

Back in those days, these cars were the safest because they weren't driving as fast as nowadays plus these kind of accidents rarely happen I guess. By the look of the picture, the E34 suffered a lot of damage compared to the Kangoo because it's a new car and obviously much safer. I really do think the passengers in the E34 weren't wearing any seatbelts at all but if ever they did, it doesn't make much of a difference at all due to the impact. I'm pretty sure the Danish is a tourist. It might have been he made a mistake thought Malaysian road is like Danish road because they drive on the right lane.

It's very unfortunate and these things tend to happen anywhere, anytime and to anyone. We can only make a speculation now but the truth is yet uncovered. Takziah to the family and friends of the victim. Semoga roh mereka dicucuri rahmat dan diberkati Allah S.W.T.
