    Hi guys,
im planning to change my HU and thinking of getting myself a double din. i've searched around including Mudah & i found that there's quite some "OEM" double din players available in the market.

they comes with 7" screen with blabla resolution, multi function steering connected, plays DVD, etc & some comes with reverse camera. looking at the price, i was like WTH?! i can spend the same amount of money & get myself a good double din from a better brand.

wanna check with all sifus here, have any members out there fit these in before? hows the quality? isit just soso, better than original quality? or it can compete with Alpine, Kenwood, etc?! anyone with the above OEM HU mind to share their experiences?

    thanks.

The only pros I see in these OEM DD players are the built-in GPS and compatibility with steering controls. SQ-wise, still is not on par with their RM2k+ DD counterparts from Alpine, Kenwood & Pioneer.

In you're looking for SQ, you're better off with those from reputable brands while if you're looking for a DD player which packs tons of functions, these OEM ones are the right choice.

Do note that even OEM ones have plenty of brands out there and the best I have tested is from Dynavin. The rest are pretty laggy when comes to GPS navigation and interface doesn't looks as smooth and neat. And of course, Dynavin is costs several hundred bucks more.

Dynavin is widely available. most reputable ice shop that are normally mentioned in BMWCM and other audio forums do carry them.
And i have seen them in Brothers as well :P
