    On behalf of the Managing Committee, I'm pleased to announce another F&B establishment to our merchant list - Rama V Thai Restaurant. They serve great Thai dishes and have a very decent collection of nice wine/cigar with some jazz/light and easy live music (from next month after 10pm). They're located at Rama VFine Thai Cuisine5, Jalan U-Thant55000 Kuala LumpurFor reservations, call: 03 21432428 / 2633 Official club members will enjoy a 10% discount off F&B with a minimum spending of RM100 (single bill).     good place...enjoyed the privacy and atmosphere...food was reasonably priced... does not cost a bomb. The Private dining chalets are a good idea...

    Been there a couple of times. Considered a fine dining place for Thai food....nice :top:.

    Great stuff committee....

    To answer your question, yes Danny is a major shareholder of Rama V and has been gracious enough to provide a 10% discount to all official BMWCM members.

    sometimes I am in wonder about the intentions of the statements of some members...are they attempting to create tasteless jokes or is there something more sinister... I guess mankind can never live peacefully...chaos is more exciting huh????

    It is not a question of support. Whilst its awesome that we all can support each other in every way possible, I think this thread was started to tell all official members that there is another fine dining restaurant that members can go and wine and dine at a discounted rate. It's as simple as that. GEDIT !!!!

    salah tak salah aku rasa soalan-soalan seperti ni tak patut ditanya kerana ia mungkin dianggap 'tak kena tempatnya' dan kurang memuaskan (for better of words) dan ia juga mungkin melanggar peraturan etica.

    best way untuk tanya soal macam nih is via the PM (private message) tapi kalau setakat nak tanye je...tak payah lah.

    the discount is not about official members supporting him. from what i have read in the travel and leisure magazines the restaurant is doing very...very...very well so even without the support from the members, it is still doing very...very...very well. so no need to worry.

    also.....why must your posting be in red and bold? and why have so many question marks (??????).

    when you post like that it is as if you are not asking a simple question but "interrogating" the person with so many question marks     and it does not become a simple question just like when you have your message in FULLCAPS it is interpreted as "SHOUTING"(!!) in the e-mail community.


    Again, coming back to the issue of salah tak salah...i am of the personal opinion there are certain questions you just don't ask.....but this is my personal opinion.

    must try the lycee duck !
