PakuPakis, 1 series come in 5 doors or 3 doors option. The 116,118i 120i comes in 5 doors. The 3 doors is 120i for Malaysia market. 1 series also comes in manual or automatic (steptronic). In malaysia, i believe the 116i offers manual while 118i and above are Steptronics. Between the E46 and the 1 series, you will find more familair feel in the 1 series with E30. The E46 is very grown up compared to the E46. Of course, it's the space between E46 and 1 series.

Have been away from the forum with more than 20 friends of BMW 1 series owners registered, why don't we all get our act together and meet up... Or the easiest is to have like a weekly ritual...nothing fancy...like a BMW mob...meet at one place and drive together for a stretch and then split up... Duke highway seems like the best drive... Those from PJ and those from Ampang can all just cruise E33 Duke highway at a particular hour... I don't know...seeing a fellow cousin of my car (bros and sis) simply feels good! haha...anyway for the Annual dinner, mind posting a summary here..like how much, timing, location... and I think for the moderators here, i advise a page on facebook be more productive and you can have the event page - making it easier for all of us to RSVP... well, 1 series rocks and to all of you outhere happy cruising!:burnout:
