These NK 2000 are always one of my favorite and it's admirable to see someone restoring such classic. They are pretty rare even in the US, nice original or fully restored ones will sit in climate controlled garage or left to rust out, and my buddy has a Tisa NK, currently rotting by the day but drivetrain and interior is complete. I did that in my kampung, that is in Banting. There are a few car cushion shops there, so the price is cheap, compared to Klang, Puchong, Sunway or PJ. Extract from page 2 of this posting: I sent to a shop in my kampung....why? cheap. quality? I can say good, value for money. RM750 for full set of seats RM 140 for 4 pcs of door panel(only RM35 per door) RM 70 for dash board Quoted but not done Roof liner RM 150 Floor Carpet RM180 The door card was practically a total rebuild, only a few parts was reused. I had the card changed because it is brittle due to water seepage. It was wrapped with a brown look-like leather Polyeurathane (PU). I will look up the contact number next week. I do not have them with me now.
Restoration WIP Not yet lah. Last year got hit hard with the economic downturn. Bonus got cut by 1/2... anyway thank god still got some. This year ... maybe will try to complete. Update. 2nd car engine .. found to have a crack block and sent to engineering for welding and resurfacing. Now to get my hand on those overhaul kits...and $$$$
