Ill prolly be pulling out this time due to some unforseen commitment that cropped up. However, if i do make it, then it would prolly be a day trip, so please consider me out from the hotel list.

 

As per popular request, some changes have been made. Now there are 2 convoys, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Details as follows. Please update your attendance with the proper convoys:

Date: Saturday, 24 April 2010
Hotel: Hotel Seri Costa - RM165 incl breakfast

If we can get at least 15 cars in the convoy, then we have a good chance of securing a police outrider escort in Malacca (subject to confirmation).

Morning Convoy
Meeting time: 8:30am
Departure time: 9:00am
Departure meeting point: KFC/Dunkin Donut Sg Besi (after toll) - same spot as departure for 2009 Drive to Singapore

Morning Convoy Itinerary:
0830 - Assemble at meeting point (please have your breakfast before departure).
0900 - Depart in a convoy of ultimate driving machines.
1030 - Exit highway at Simpang Empat and continue via trunk road (see Route Map) for some sheer driving pleasure.
1230 - Lunch at Restoran Bibik Neo (@Melaka Raya)
1400 - Arrive at Dataran Pahlawan; free and easy to banyak makan wang at the shopping centre, check-in at hotel or leisure time[/COLOR]

Afternoon Convoy
Meeting time: 3:30pm
Departure time: 4:00pm
Departure meeting point: KFC/Dunkin Donut Sg Besi (after toll) - same spot as departure for 2009 Drive to Singapore

Afternoon Convoy Itinerary:
1530 - Assemble at meeting point.
1600 - Depart in a convoy of ultimate driving machines for some sheer driving pleasure on the NSE.
1730 - Exit highway at Ayer Keroh and head to Dataran Pahlawan rendezvous point.

Combined Convoy Itinerary:
1800 - UDM's assemble at Dataran Pahlawan;
1830 - Follow Chili E30's hot and spicy ride to Kg Alai and discover that joy is ikan bakar!
2100 - After dinner, bring more women to Jonker Street and wander the open-air market.

Afterwards, either return to KL or stay overnight in Malacca and return on Sunday. The official convoy back to KL will either be on Sat 24th night, or Sun 25th; depending on which group is larger.

by 9.30pm you will exit simpang empat toll go to m'cca town using the old road & this is the road we can do some rempit.by12.30pm will reach m'cca town for lunch,after lunch around 2pm all our car will have rezab parking in the main door of dataran pahlawan shopping complex & from here you can go red house,famosa,st paul hill to snap photo.or you want to do some shopping also can.by 6.30pm we will covoy to alai for ikan bakar.
