    More techie stuff ..

E34 3.5 runs on Getrag 260/6 (with a cooling fin). M5 3.6 gearbox (5 sp) can straight fit onto the engine. M5 block is the same as 3.5. However, S38 M5 (6 sp) will not match with M30 3.5 (unless u modify laaa ). Getrag 260/5 can fit but need some customization. Plus the gearing ratio will be slightly diff. Getrag 260/6 oso used by 735 manual, volvo and Holden.
Famous for the rattling sound due to the mass flywheel.

Long shaft is 1593mm. U can use the rear half of the shaft fr any E34 manual model but not the front half.

naza2 is running on 260/2 dog-leg. Customization to the long-shaft needs to be done.

My rear axle runs on 3.60 Viscous (spell ?).

Changing the rear arm to accomodate new (24V) LSD is required. At least Iv tried to do it. Maybe other ppl can share their experience in this.

Other bits n pieces - ask naza2. He is still trying to recover from his pain ...

How I blew my engine, even with cut-off.

Running on ALPINA chip rev until 6,900 rpm on 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Engine is new (ober-haul) laa ...) 1 piston koyak .. Throw back at potong shop . Got rejected ! Potong shop ask me to keep the engine because nobody wants it ..

Waaa .. so damn serious mannnn .. :hmmph:
    Dun pray pray aaa ...

Anybody (except Alvin and Calvin .. eh rhyme pulak )... come lar ..sacred arrr (Koko borrow again ur battle cry !) :nyehehe:

    OK.. update..

car's almost ready. it seems that it is having 3 small little problems that really BUG me to death!

    1. car has a slight vibration at around 2200rpm even at idle. so it is not the long shaft. could be broken fins on fan clutch or flywheel or clutch??

    2. somewhat erratic idle. i'll try to service the AFM and set the CO later. or maybe because i'm using a smaller coil? or maybe i need a new chip (noooooo)?

    3. some minor electrical stuff not working after i got the car. i don't think they have anything to do with the engine/ECU but i wanna get it fixed!

that's it for now. stay tune for more info :D

    naza2,

Bro, you might want to check the Throttle Position Switch......it's adjustment is notorious for the problems you are experiencing.

    Hope this helps.

Yup, kevster maybe right. Just replaced mine this morning. Caused erratic idle. The other thing could be your ICV and air flow meter. In the M50 engine, just unplug the wiring that is connected to the TPS (throttle position sensor) by pulling out the socket. If the idling returns to normal, then the TPS is the culprit.
