Bro Xenons and HID are the same http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xenon_arc_lamp Osram is brand/manufacture name. Normal bulbs are carbon filament gas filled bulbs normally called Halogen http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Halogen_lamp Halogen are old tech and required higher wattage while HID/Xenon is powered with a ballast and require 30% less wattage.
