Here are some latest pix.Cruising at 130kmh (80mph)... sadly the Tacho is not working and here enjoying the 250lb-ft or torque... purring along in 5th gearIm a Happy person! Syed
If Your Tacho was working you would probably see about 22-2300 rpm at that speed. Lovely sound of the engine, that by kicking the pedal to the floor will take out all 218 hp and give you a feeling of a sportscar, in a roomy family sedan. As i said before lovely car and color.
I´m driving an 635CSi Automatic, and with the same engine as yours I seem to remember it is around 2000rpm at 100km/h. I could be wrong though.
Whoa nice. Is that odometer mileage for real or it's gone one round? My folks used to hv a 728i 1982 shark nose in the same color. brings back memories of the times I would steal it out just for a cruise. That was when petrol was rm1 per litre though. Enjoy your classic ride and if you ever decide to part with it, drop me a note.
Meter cluster was changed to 728i local, original 735i imported model has both MPH/kmh numberings and goes to 160mph/260kmh. ive been looking for that speedo cluster since 2011 And no not for sale at any price hehe. Syed 0125205525
A few pictures of her original leather interior : and here, electric reclining rear seats Hope you like it! Syed
Very -80´s. Fantastic shape to be a 33 year old car. Hope it does not have to sit out in the sun too much, dries up the leather and harden plastic. If it spend too much time outside, maybe you should consider to get some of those cheap sunreflectors.
Nicely done sir, My late father had one, now its with my brother. Brings back memories when i accompanied him to the workshop to get work done on the car. Actually he restored the car from "kereta buruk" status to one stunning car. Sorry to reminisce in your thread.
Syed, pity this set of rims just turned up at mudah, it is more period correct and fits your car http://www.mudah.my/Bmw+Classic+Wheels+with+Tires-19790188.htm
