I totally agree with Vin75, if you really want to drive the udm one day, go back to college and get a good degree - this may be a faster way to reach your goals. Otherwise go learn a specialise craft which can also earn you good income in the service industry - maybe repairing or modifying udms

so basically your philosophy is to drive the car until the component/assembly is completely worn out, then only go for replacement/repair. me and udm68 must go and get some of your tips.

This Astroboy fella can buy n mantain BMW even though jobless - he must be recycling all our discarded parts. Pity that I didnt get to know him earlier, if I learn from him just imagine the enormous savings, that way I can own 4 BMWs

you're still young, no need to hurry to get a BMW and then force to tighten belt and no more saving left... And then come up short when there's a big repair bill... Not worth it... Worst is when suddenly u lose your job and have to hide the car from repossesor tow truck bcos u got no money to pay installment...

I am the kind that stretches my bucks and lucks, never try never know. Tyre for instance, I would wear them out way beyond the TWI, sometimes even until seeing canvas, unless weather not on my side. Battery, I would use it until I can't crank. Windscreen, I would use until cracked to the edge, not like you, replacing windscreen every year just because you bought insurance for it. Different philosophy la, who doesn't wish we replace our ride immediately after warranty expires.. thanks to our exorbitant tax policy, owning and maintaining a car is damn straining to our wallet. Also, forgot to mention, I would avoid using new or original parts for my very first UDM back then. I only prescribe chop shop items, not even reconditioned.. many of the parts is even cheaper than Perdana parts..

There's a will, there's a way. But if I'm young with my first job, I would just get a E36 coz it's dirt cheap with abundance cheap spare parts and knowledgeable foreman around. That's if you are passionate about cars and driving experience.. a tin can plotong or any Japs made is simply not a car.

Hehe.. your favourite hang out is at the workshop you would fall sick if we stop you from going to the workshop, and also constantly suffer from the itch of looking for things to change or upgrade. The ride you have is a monster with everything bigger than a stock car. how to help you when you have that kind of fetish? :4:

Lemon refers to used cars (sometimes even new cars) keep having issues or breaking down after purchase...

hell yea.. nobody can promise/guarantee there's even a tomorrow.. do whatever pleases you today. Your money, your life, your call! :4:

oh.. by the way, the E46 by comparison to E36, chassis rigidity has improved by leaps and bounds. The E36 only scored a miserable 1 and half star in EURO NCAP crash test standard. The E90 and above of course, a 5-star. :4:

Alright. Thanks for the link bro. But of course the latest models always will be a better value to buy in terms of protection in what you mention. Haha. :)

Just found out the difference with n42 and also m54. N42 is only for 1.8 and 2.0 where else M54 is for 2.5 and 3.0. Correct me if I am wrong guys?

Just one more debate. I tried looking for the images of engine and found out that there is minimal difference to the engine look. So the only way you will know the engine is through the cc displacement and also the grant right?
