Let me know if anyone is interested to code your bimmer. I've coded mine to remember the auto-start, enabled video in motion and others too.

There is no benefit at all except to make the car behave to your liking.
eg. For E46, the recirculation always turn off when you switch off the car. By coding, you can make it always set to recirculation mode.

Simple thing to make the car to your preference.

Of course, there are some who "tune" the car to make it more responsive.

Correct. Exactly, I coded my F20 to remember I've disabled the auto start on/off. Otherwise, I have to switch it again after I start my car. It's more setting preference to your car that does not come out of the box.

Hi... I'm not sure if you have been able to to do that in the past 1 year, but if you have not, you can visit www.satnavninja.com/bmw and buy the software online. The installation does not require any technical expertise and will take 2 minutes.
