Look for oil stain at the bottom of the car. Look for accident sign. Get a good mechanic to check when you find a car that you like. Scan the car for error codes. Prepare some money to change all the plastic parts especially the cooling system. (part of maintenance)

The E24 is more than 30 years old car. Parts for repair is almost rare to find. Unless you have deep pocket where you order the parts from oversea, stay away. Of course, if you have a good mechanic who can restore or refurbish the car for you.
