Wheel painting can be a relatively simple DIY process. Unless you're going to powdercoat it, you can get good results using a proper spray paint.

Longevity of the paint depends on your prep job. Flaking and bubbling can be almost eliminated if you spend some effort on the prepping of the wheels. I've personally done it once, and the last I checked (at the 1.5 year mark) there is no flaking or chipping of the paint, and there is no discoloration. I've other friends who've done it and had only good things to say.

After all, its maximum a weekend of DIY labor and the cost is just for your paint. Good thing is that if you're not happy with one color, you can always just respray it yourself at minimal cost

                  hi all....
                  just some feedback.
i spray painted my breytons last time but all the brake dust fused into the lacquer and cannot be removed.
                  better powder coat.

"The main difference between a conventional liquid paint and a powder coating is that the powder coating does not require a solvent to keep the binder and filler parts in a liquid suspension form. The coating is typically applied electrostatically and is then cured under heat to allow it to flow and form a "skin." The powder may be a thermoplastic or a thermoset polymer. It is usually used to create a hard finish that is tougher than conventional paint." -wikipedia

Price will be your deciding factor. But then again if its just some stock 16" wheels...can spray yourself ma
