As Salam n Morning to all..

I`m totally a newbie for sure..from Penang. Hopefully can get some idea from the `otai's` here before purchase, especially E90. Cant afford the new ones, only secondhand year 2005-2007. Maybe u all can share some info about the maintenance, fuel consumption (can use ron95 or only ron97?), any wear and tear that might probably need to be changed..
and one more thing, 320i SE vs 320i M-sport, I know the M-sport looks more `ranggi`, but the difference that I saw is only I-drive. Is there any other diff?...Sorry I`m really new in this BMW but eager to own it.

BMW of North America today debuted two new 30 second spots touting the automaker�s Ultimate Service policy, which features no-cost maintenance program coverage on all new BMWs for the first 50,000 miles or four years of ownership. The company�s no-cost maintenance program is unmatched in the premium vehicle category and highlighted in each of the spots by customers who do not believe a service advisor when told their maintenance is no cost and mistakenly think they are being given special treatment, leading to an awkward and humorous situation.
In the first spot, entitled �Married,� a woman is told that the work completed on her car was free of charge, which she misinterprets to mean that the representative is flirting with her. As she sheepishly explains that she is married, the representative clarifies that no cost maintenance program coverage is standard for all new BMW owners. The same misunderstanding occurs in the second spot, entitled �Tickets,� when a customer assumes he is being given special treatment and tries to repay the representative by casually slipping tickets to a sports event into his shirt pocket � which isn�t there � leading to an awkward moment.

�No-cost maintenance is a hallmark of BMW service and something that we alone offer among our top rivals,� said Dan Creed, Vice President, Marketing, BMW of North America. �These new spots give us the opportunity to tell that story in a fun and memorable way.�
Earlier this year, BMW released a series of six digital shorts to support the launch of the new 3 Series Sedan, which highlighted some of the new technologies featured in the car. While initially intended to run primarily online, the shorts were so well-received by BMW dealers that two were run regionally on television during Super Bowl XLVI. Building on that success, starting in June the company will introduce a new series of digital shorts focused on Ultimate Service. A second grouping will follow in July. These shorts, which will run primarily online and via social media channels, each begin with a sales representative explaining BMW�s Ultimate Service coverage to a skeptical customer who replies, �What are you going to tell me next�� with a different question and unexpected ending.
In one of the first new shorts, the customer replies, �What are you going to tell me next, that we�re in a commercial?� at which point, an unseen director yells �cut,� enters the scene and begins to critique the customer�s performance. In another, the customer replies �What are you going to tell me next, that my father-in-law likes me?� a moment before his father-in-law appears, compliments him and gives him an encouraging slap on the backside.
The new creative and digital shorts were created for BMW by KBS+, the automaker�s advertising agency of record.
BMW Ultimate Service consists of four parts � no-cost maintenance program coverage, four years of the BMW Assist Safety Plan, Unlimited-Mileage Roadside Assistance and a New Vehicle Limited Warranty.

BMW M6 MotoGP Safety Car Debuts at M Festival this Weekeend

The all new 2013 M6 coupe (F13) will be the official safety car on duty for MotoGP this season. It is the latest BMW M model to take this spot, following the footsteps of the M5 and 1M Safety Cars. The MotoGP M6 safety car will debut at the 24 Hour Nurburgring race this weekend and will lead the M Festival M Corso parade event.
The first half of the MotoGP race season will still see F10 M5 and 1M safety cars, but the F13 M6 coupe safety car will replace the 1M halfway through the race season. We expect the M6 safety car to receive similar modifications as the M5 and 1M � siren, Akrapovic exhaust system and aerodynamic enhancements (front carbon fiber spoiler, high rear wing, M Performance black kidney grilles, side gills, and mirrors, and dark grey / gunmetal wheels. For stopping power, the M6 safety car will utilize the factory carbon ceramic brakes. More details will be revealed soon.

Singapore. BMW Asia today announced the arrival of the much anticipated, new BMW 320i in Singapore. Following the impressive BMW 328i, the top four-cylinder model launched earlier in March, the new BMW 320i will be the second model to be powered by the new-generation 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine.
Powered by BMW TwinPower Turbo technology, the new four-cylinder engine has enabled the new BMW 320i with an all-round improvement against its predecessor. It now develops a maximum of 184 hp at 5,000 rpm (+8%) and peak torque of 270 Nm at just 1,250 � 4,500 rpm (+22%). With an 8-speed sport automatic transmission, it can further sprint from naught to 100km/h in just 7.6 seconds, which is 2.2 seconds faster than before. 530d 2004 - my ultimate driving pleasure or my ultimate driving headache?

Friday 4pm - Collected the car from used car dealer

Sat 2am - Car breakdown. Loss of power. Pulled over. Restart, cranking sound only, engine did not really start, excessive white smoke came out from the exhaust. Disconnect battery, restart, not successful. Left the car by the roadside for 1 hour, restart, engine run but excessive white smoke still there. Towed to AB Glenmarie.

Sat 9am - Called AB. Put on hold for hours. Visit AB, spoke with chief mechanic and was informed they do not do breakdown case on Saturday. In any case he can only

Mon 12pm -Visit AB again, waited for approx 30 min. Informed by Head of Customer Service Dept that they would start after lunch and promised to keep me updated.

Mon evening - Called AB, managed to speak with the senior customer service personnel and was informed diagnostic test is in progress.

Tues - After numerous calls to AB and put on hold for hours, managed to speak with the same senior CSO. Was informed diagnostic check still in progress and passed me to the CSO in-charge. Still no idea what's the problem. Assured that he will call me as soon as the QUOTATION is ready despite me asking AB to inform me what is the real problem before giving me any QUOTATION..

Wed morning - after numerous calls and on-holds again, manage to speak with the SCSO at about 12.30pm. Passed the call to the CSO in-charge. CSO informed technician working on the car went out for lunch and will call me back right after lunch.

Wed after lunch - Call and call and call AB. Manage to speak with the SCSO. Blame went to the CSO in-charge for not keeping his word. Asked the SCSO to email me the status as I was already at the plane doorstep for oversea trip. Response: Yes sir will do that soonest possible.

Wed night - Keep checking email. Still no news.

Thursday 7.36am - Email from AB came in. HELP! HELP! HELP!, I am getting heart attack!!

Thursday 9am - Replied AB's email. Salient points:
1. Glow plugs and Battery were changed by the same workshop 7k km ago.
2. Diesel filter was changed less than 7k km ago by diff workshop.
3. Steering warning light appeared only after the battery was disconnected when the car broke-down
4. Checked with realoem - no such part at Light Pressure Pump. Part number is for High Pressure Pump.
5. The car had been inspected and checked at AB before I decided to buy it. (My wife like it because it is a special edition with F1 drivers signature on the dashboard). No major problem was detected when checked by AB.

Your comments, especially those can help me reverse my heart attack are most welcome.
